Securing your critical data

In-Safe Service

The In-Safe service is available using dial-up or broadband connections, and can also be accessed by dedicated high capacity communication connections for larger organisations.

• All information can be encrypted to ensure security and confidentiality.
• Connection time can be kept to a minimum by compressing the data.
• Customers who have their servers located at Network-i's data centre connect to the service via a secure VLAN connection.
• The In-Safe management application is installed on the client server, PC or Laptop to be backed up and can be configured by the user or by Network-i's professional services team.
• The management application defines the back up policy and schedule and empowers the user to undertake full or partial back up / restoration upon demand.
• For restoring large amounts of data, clients have the additional option to visit the Network-i data centre and connect their hardware directly to In-Safe.
• Tape vault management is available for clients who wish to collect from the Network-i premises copies of tape media on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.

For clients who require an additional level of data security, Network-i offers an off site backup of the data located on the In-Safe platform. In-Safe data is transmitted over a managed and secure link to our secondary data centre facility. The secondary facility is geographically remote and neither facility shares any common utilities or infrastructure.

Policy Based

The In-Safe management application can be configured to suit your exact requirements, including:

• Timing and Method
• Data set selection
• Type of back-up; Changes only, Incremental or Byte level
• Open file handling
• Back up of specific databases (e.g. MSSQL, Oracle etc.)
• High availability

The In-Safe service is a non-stop environment, available 24 hours a day 365 days of the year.

In-Safe storage is available in capacities from 500MB to multiple terabytes of disk space.

In-Safe can be configured to keep several levels of back up copies.
