ControlCircle takes Foothold in Thames Valley

20 May 2009

ControlCircle, "The Datacentre People" began it's Thames Valley operation in January and following a number of customer tours, the company will expand it's foothold in the Thames Valley by taking more space at Network-i's Slough Interchange Datacentre from June.

"We have a strategic relationship with Network-i," commented Damian Milkins, CEO of ControlCircle. "Our caged area is designed to be expandable and we anticipate a scenario where we could occupy 50% of the datafloor in one contiguous area."

"We both bring a lot to the partnership" Damian added, " our customers are looking for one company to take responsibility for availability and uptime across a couple of sites and the exceptionally high standard of Network-i's facilities at Slough Interchange and on the Slough Trading Estate provides us with the perfect DR environment - far enough out from Central London and yet remaining very accessable being less than 20 minutes from Paddington."

David Lucas-Smith, Vice President of Sales at Network-i agrees that location is an important factor for colocation facilities. The colo market is, now more than ever, about value for money. A data center in East Berkshire is likely to be less expensive to run than a datacenter in Central London or Docklands. When you combine the cost advantage with a compelling managed service proposition in an easy to reach location then you have a robust business proposition"
